County Managers                                                                                                      29ú Deireadh Fómhair 2009

To date interest has been expressed from several individuals to take underage county teams. If anyone is interested in working with any of the agegroups from under14 through to senior please advise the county secretary. It is important to try and encourage a mix from belfast and southwest so please give it some thought. We have had a brilliant year at all age groups  that now needs to be built on and developed. Coaches are expected to have the relevant child awareness training cert and at least Foundation coaching cert. POCVA checks (or latest check) must be completed.

Congratulations have been pouring in from all over the province, across the sea and from the GAA.

Following a packed weekend of Gaelic Games at Club and County level Ulster GAA President Tom Daly would like to congratulate the Antrim County Ladies Gaelic Football Team on their All-Ireland Junior Success at the weekend:
“To have two Ulster County teams participating at both Intermediate and Junior levels is testament to the continued hard work of our partners in the Ulster Ladies Gaelic Football Council, I am delighted that Antrim have followed Armagh minors in bringing another piece of silverware back to Ulster. I also commiserate with Fermanagh who had a hard fought battle against Clare”.

There has been some interest from individuals to take underage squads for 2010 season. These individuals are keen to start trials in October. Given the success of our underage teams this year we do need to continue to build on our current structures to insure continued success. Any others interested in becoming involved with any of our county teams please contact a member of the executive.

All Ireland Intermediate Club Semi Final                                                                            11ú Samhain 2009

St Paul's Ladies narrowly lose to Munster champions Brian Boru Tipperary, in All Ireland Semifinal. A slow start to the game proved costly for the St Paul's side. The girls 11 points down at half time dominated the second half but ran out of time to qualify for the final. A fabulous achievement and another huge step forward for Antrim football.
