 Under 14s hold on for a one point victory                                                                 8ú Meitheamh 2009

Antrim under 14s dug deep to fend off a last gasp attempt by Fermanagh for the Ulster title. In doing so Antrim now have made a clean sweep of all Ulster 'B' Championship juvenile titles. The girls now face Roscommon at Monaghan this coming Sunday. Good luck to Anto, Paul and the team!

Under 14 Ulster Championship Replay                                                                                7ú Meitheamh 2009

After a controversial final and debate surrounding the replay venue the under 14 girls now have to travel to Donegal town to face Fermanagh 7th June. Throw in is at 4-30pm at the Four Masters pitch.

Under 14 Ulster Champiosnhip Final                                                                          30ú Bealtaine 2009

The under 14 county team will have to do it all over again after coming from behind to secure a draw in the Ulster Final. Referee ruled out extra time given the hot conditions. Replay scheduled for this coming weekend. Venue and time to be confirmed.

Antrim under 14s gave an outstanding performance and overwhelmed Derry. They now have earned themselves a place in the Ulster final to be played next weekend. Opponents and venue to be confirmed.

Antrim under 14s finally continue their championship campaign as they take on Derry at Musgrave Park on Saturday 23rd May 12 noon throw in. All players are requested to meet at Musgrave 10-30am.

Antrim Minors lift Ulster Title                                                                                                      3ú Bealtaine 2009

 

The Antrim minors comfortably defeated Fermanagh 2-12 to 0-07 in the Ulster Final makig it a successful weekend for the Saffron county. Match report to follow.

The People's Forest

The Ulster Gaelic Family is taking the lead in a new campaign to replenish some of the ash that has been forested to make thousands of hurls in the past. The association is partnering "Back to Eden" Ireland in planting 'The People's Forest'. The project begins with planting 10,000 trees at two locations, Mill Dam and Wolfhill at the foothills of the Black Mountain, recreating areas of woodland with native tree stock. County Round Up                                                                                                                                19ú Aibreán 2009

The under 16s beat Tyrone after a hard fought match. The girls dug deep to win by a 3 point margin and so earn themselves a chance to defend their Ulster Title. The final is to be on Saturday 2nd May .Venue to be confirmed. It will be a double header with the minors.

 

The under14s also enjoyed championship success in Irvinestown with a one point victory over Fermanagh. They are due to play Derry on May 2nd however this may change due to a clash with the Ulster camogie blitz taking place on the same day.

The first of the finalists in the minor championship final has been decided with St Paul's securing their spot having overcome St Brigid's. The postponed semi final between St Ergnats and St Gall's is to take place on Tuesday 21st April.

The postponed minor championship gets underway on Friday 17th. Defending champions St Paul's play host to St. Brigid's and last years finalists St Gall's are country bound to St Ergnat's.

Weekend activities                                                                                                                              4ú Aibreán 2009

U14 Antrim Féile Peil na nÓg is on this Saturday at Woodlands. Clubs are to register at 12-30pm with first match at 1pm.

Antrim senior team travel to Limerick this weekend. Players are to meet at Casement 6pm on Saturday 4th April. Match at Gaelic Park as a curtain raiser ahead of Limerick v Waterford NHL.
